At Croissant Gourmet, we bring a taste of France to our community, creating an authentic and heartwarming experience through artisanal craftsmanship, premium ingredients, and a welcoming atmosphere. Rooted in tradition and fueled by passion, we handcraft each pastry, loaf of bread, and meal with the same dedication and authenticity found in a Parisian boulangerie. Whether you're a local, a traveler, or a French expat, our bakery is your home away from home—where flavors tell stories, and every bite is a journey.
Our Story
Our journey begins in Saint-Omer, a charming town in northern France, where our founder, Francois Cahagne (left on picture), a passionate pastry chef and baker, discovered his love for the art of French patisserie. From the age of 16, he honed his skills in traditional pastry-making before expanding his expertise to bread and viennoiseries.
Starting his career off, as the private pastry chef for the Minister of the French Army, he then launched his entreprenuarial career. For nearly a decade, he owned and operated several successful bakeries in France, perfecting his craft and deepening his passion for authentic French baking. But with a dream of bringing his expertise to the U.S., he made a bold decision—he sold everything to pursue his American dream. In 2002, he moved to La Jolla, California, to open his first French bakery in the U.S., introducing West Coast customers to true French craftsmanship.
After several years, he searched for the perfect place to continue his vision. In 2008, he settled in Winter Park, Florida, where he founded Croissant Gourmet, creating a bakery that would embody his passion, artisanal expertise, and love for sharing French culture through food.

Our Craft
What sets us apart? We stay true to French artisanal techniques, using the finest ingredients, including imported French flour, to ensure every bite captures the essence of France. Our commitment to excellence goes beyond ingredients—we have also brought in skilled French chefs and pastry chefs to join our team, ensuring that our products reflect true French craftsmanship.

Every flaky croissant, crusty baguette, and delicate pastry is handcrafted with precision, following time-honored traditions passed down through generations. Our passion for authenticity extends to our breakfast and lunch menu, featuring savory crepes, fresh salads, and croissant sandwiches, all thoughtfully prepared to bring a true taste of France to our guests. To complement our offerings, we have partnered with Julius Meinl, a premium Austrian coffee brand, to provide an exceptional café experience.
Through our dedication to quality, tradition, and expertise, we strive to offer not just food, but a genuine French culinary experience in every bite.
